Source: MarketCheck U.S. rooftop snapshot, imported June 16, 2026, with source updates through July 9, 2026; checked October 5, 2026. We select active franchise records associated with the brand, with valid coordinates, and deduplicate matching locations. Brand tags are source observations, not independent manufacturer confirmation. Multi-brand rooftops may appear on more than one brand page. This is not a live dealer locator or an official franchise census.

The story behind Maserati.

An Italian luxury and performance brand within Stellantis, with SUV, grand-touring and sports-car offerings.

A Bologna workshop and a racing emblem

Alfieri, Ettore and Ernesto Maserati founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914. Their brother Mario drew the Trident from the city’s Neptune fountain. The Tipo 26 became the first Maserati-badged racing car in 1926 and won its class at the Targa Florio with Alfieri driving.

Modena and the road-car business

The Orsi family’s ownership brought the move to Modena and the Viale Ciro Menotti factory in 1940. Maserati’s first road car, the A6 1500, arrived in 1947. The 1963 Quattroporte combined sporting performance with a luxury sedan format, while later grand tourers carried the same idea into two-door cars.

A century of the Trident

Maserati marks 2026 as the centenary of both the emblem and its racing debut. The current catalog separates Grecale, GranTurismo and GranCabrio from the MCPURA and GT2 Stradale supercars. Folgore denotes electric derivatives, while several familiar older names now sit in the legacy-car archive.
