The story behind Chrysler.

An American Stellantis brand whose U.S. product focus is family transportation through the Pacifica minivan.

Walter Chrysler’s engineering brand

Chrysler’s 2025 centennial looked back at a company founded in 1925 and built around engineering-led automobiles. Its history includes ambitious design and technology experiments rather than a single unchanging product formula. The anniversary also gathered historic badges, brochures and sketches as evidence of that evolving identity.

Family transport becomes the central product

The company’s minivan business began in 1983. Stow ’n Go arrived for the 2005 model year, letting seats fold into underfloor space without carrying them out of the vehicle. The modern Pacifica continues that approach: interior flexibility is a core product decision, not merely an accessory.

A new face for the next century

The 2027 Pacifica was revealed in April 2026 with a redesigned front and an illuminated wing badge. Its entry LX replaces the Voyager name in the new range. Chrysler’s catalog still links prior-model Voyager and Pacifica pages, so older inventory should be distinguished from the newly ordered 2027 family.
