The story behind Cadillac.

General Motors’ luxury brand, spanning the Escalade family, performance sedans and electric SUVs.

Precision becomes a luxury proposition

Cadillac’s 1902 beginnings under Henry Leland linked luxury to engineering precision. Standardized, interchangeable components helped establish the Standard of the World reputation. Electric starting later made the automobile easier to use, showing how a technical improvement could change the everyday experience rather than simply improve a specification.

Recognizable design, changing technology

The crest, vertical lighting and expressive body design connect several Cadillac eras without making every vehicle look alike. The official heritage collection places classic tailfins and historic emblems beside current electric vehicles. V-Series contributes a separate performance identity inside the wider luxury brand.

Electric families join sedans and SUVs

Cadillac’s current U.S. catalog now spans CT4 and CT5 sedans, XT5 and Escalade SUVs, and multiple electric families. OPTIQ, LYRIQ, VISTIQ and electric Escalades cover different sizes and uses; CELESTIQ is offered by inquiry. V-Series versions remain variants of those model families, not an additional make.
