Source: MarketCheck U.S. rooftop snapshot, imported June 16, 2026, with source updates through July 9, 2026; checked October 5, 2026. We select active franchise records associated with the brand, with valid coordinates, and deduplicate matching locations. Brand tags are source observations, not independent manufacturer confirmation. Multi-brand rooftops may appear on more than one brand page. This is not a live dealer locator or an official franchise census.

The story behind Aston Martin.

A British luxury performance brand with sports cars, grand tourers and the DBX SUV.

Bamford, Martin and a competition idea

Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin established their London business in January 1913. Building their own car followed dissatisfaction with the cars they sold and maintained. Competition became central to the company’s ambitions, and the early round identity developed into wings rather than remaining a fixed founding-era emblem.

David Brown and the DB lineage

David Brown acquired Aston Martin in 1947 and added Lagonda. His initials gave the DB cars their name, beginning a grand-touring lineage that includes the DB4, DB5 and later DB9. The DB9 marked the move into Gaydon-built production in 2003, connecting a new factory to an established identity.

Wings refined for a broader range

The 2022 identity refresh simplified the wings while preserving their familiar outline. Today the range reaches from Vantage sports cars and DB12 grand tourers to Vanquish, DBX SUVs and Valhalla hybrids. Coupe and open-top versions are body choices within those families, not additional trim levels.
